Courtney Sabia, 24, of Stamford, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 21, for the Nov. 2019, death of  Nancy Flores, 60, of Stratford, said Stamford Police Sgt. Jeffrey Booth.

Sabia's arrest comes on the heels of an investigation by the department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad that found Sabia allegedly responsible for the fatal event that took place in the area of Tresser and Washington boulevards.

Flores was struck by a 2009 Jetta driven by Sabia, as she was walking to the Stamford train station. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sabia was arrested at police headquarters after learning there was a warrant for her arrest, Booth said.

She was charged and released after posting a $10,000 bond. Sabia is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.

This investigation was conducted by Officer Lindsey Yanicky, Sgt. Ryan McAllister and Sgt. Jeffrey Booth.
